Andrés Obregón Santodomingo
Founding Partner
Andres has more than 30 years of experience managing companies and originating, structuring and executing a wide range of private transactions. He is a historian from Williams College (with an emphasis on Economics) and holds an MBA from INSEAD, France, and a Masters in Commerce and Marketing Management from the Instituto de Empresa, Madrid. He has extensive experience in the real estate, services and financial sectors, developing profitable corporate growth strategies. He has been President of Bavaria (today AB InBev in the region), and Valores Bavaria, and Deputy Regional Manager of Avianca, among other positions. He is currently a senior partner in Sumatoria, Investment Banking, a leader in Colombia.
Enrique Carrillo García
Founding Partner
Enrique has over 20 years experience in international private banking and asset management. His last role before founding Meridiana, was to lead the global investment advisor team at Banco Santander International, where he managed more than 25 advisors, assuming responsibility for advising more than 600 families and $10bn of AUMs. He has a degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, an MSc in Options & Futures from the IEB in Madrid and an MSc from the BBVA School of Finance. He holds the most demanding certifications in the world of investment and risk management: CFA, FRM & CAIA.
Santiago Pardo Fajardo
Managing Partner
Santiago has more than 25 years of experience managing companies within the stock market and in the multi-family office sector. He studied Economics and Finance at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, and was accredited as a Director, Fixed Income, Variable Income and Collective Investment Funds by the Colombian Stock Exchange and the Autorregulador del Mercado de Valores (AMV). He was a founding partner of Independent Advisors and Brilia Consulting, both focused on family wealth management. He is currently a managing partner of Meridiana MFO, the company that absorbed Brilia Consulting.
Juan Carlos Riera
Compliance Officer
With more than 20 years of experience in the area of private banking, Mr. Riera has accumulated vast experience in international financial institutions. His experience includes management positions with Merrill Lynch, Wachovia Securities & First Clearing LLC, among others, providing services in Venezuela, Panama, the United States and Switzerland. Mr. Riera is a graduate of the UCAB School of Law in Caracas, Venezuela and with further studies at the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA) in Caracas, Venezuela, the University of Richmond and the Thunderbird School of Management (Glendale AZ).
Martín Acero Salazar
Advisor to the Board of Directors
Partner and Co-Chair of PPU expert in Corporate Law/M&A and Tax and International Trade. He has advised major clients in various international sectors on local and cross-border M&A processes, and has participated as an advisor and facilitator for local and foreign clients in Joint Ventures and other types of associations.
Maria Grau Sàmper
Head of Back Office
Maria has more than five years of experience in the financial sector, performing middle and back office tasks in the International private banking department at Andbank, supporting clients from Latin American (Panama, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina…) and USA. She also worked at Vall Banc, perfoming the function of Back Office at the Securities and Treasury department. Previously, she worked as an adviser in the Permanent Mission of Andorra at the United Nations in New York. She has a degree in Political Sciences and Administration at the University of Barcelona (UB) in Spain and a master’s degree in International Relations.
Ariadna Tomàs Vila
Senior Analyst
Ariadna has more than four years of experience in the andorran and international banking sector. She has worked at Crèdit Andorrà performing Back Office tasks and reporting to the andorran financial regulator (AFA). She also has worked at Creand Wealth Management in Madrid, in the Back and Middle Office department of securities. She has a degree in Business Administration and Management from EAE Business School in Barcelona and holds a course in business coaching from Stanford University.
Geraldine Quiroga Cañas
Senior Investment Manager
Geraldine has over 6 years of experience in asset management and valuation. Before joining Meridiana team, she worked in the Colombian insurance sector for the company Global Seguros as asset manager. Geraldine is a financial engineer of the Universidad Piloto de Colombia and holds many certifications in credit risk management, financial derivatives and complementary courses in private equity.
Albert Rovira
Senior Portfolio Manager
Albert has over 10 years of experience in the financial sector and asset management. His last role before joining Meridiana MFO was to be an investment analyst and portfolio manager at the Multi Family Office Alkimia Capital. Previously, he worked in the Middle Office department of Andbank and at the Banc Sabadell asset management unit. His main tasks include the generation and analysis of public assets, the construction of portfolios, and the monitoring and supervision of clients portfolios. He studied a degree in Business Administration and Management at Pompeu Fabra University and is a CFA Charterholder accredited by the CFA Institute.
